Olivia's father is a warm, loving, encouraging and patient parent who is very connected to his kids. While he is occasionally absent-minded, he never forgets to take time for family fun and to impart paternal wisdom to these kids in the way of "little talks" when needed. In Olivia Measures Up, he is shown to be also very smart when he talks about confusing stuff that Olivia isn't able to understand.
